The Anderl Act is a nonpartisan bill intended to request continued funding so state and local governments may continue removing personal information about federal judges and their families from their databases and websites. The bill is named for Daniel Anderl, son of U.S. District Judge Esther Salas of New Jersey, who was fatally shot in July 2020 and his father, Mark Salas, was critically wounded when a former litigant came to the family’s home posing as a deliveryman. As National Delegate and with approval from the Court, Emily DiBenedetto was tasked with submitting appropriations requests and coordinating meetings with Delaware lawmakers on behalf of the Federal Bar Association. |
